Q: I’m a verbal person and I would rather view a list of filenames than thumbnails of documents. Can I do this?
A: As with the Mac or Windows, you can view documents in any way that’s convenient for you — the controls even look similar. Click the button next to the Search field (the one with the horizontal lines) above the documents window to list documents by name.
A few tips when working in list view:
- Use options in the Sorted By menu to control the order in which the documents are listed.
- Use the usual Search controls — the Search field, the Cabinets list, and the Tags list — to control which documents display.
- Since you can display more documents in list view, it offers a quick way to apply tags to a large group of files at once.
- To revert to thumbnails view, click the button display the grid of four thumbnails (right next to the list view button).
